Siemens Gigaset S685IP VoIP Phone is a simple and powerful phone which facilitates smooth and clear communication. It comes in compact design with black and silver covering. The handset measures 43x50x28mm, base station measures 57x107x46mm and the answering machine base measures 143x93x72 mm. This package supports up to 6 handsets and up to 4 base stations.
This full fledged Siemens VoIP phone has amber illuminated 8 line graphical display with 128 x 160 pixel resolution and 65k colour support. You can set screensaver to the back ground as in mobile phone. It performs LED signalling. For easy access of functions it is provided with navigation key. The phone displays field strength, charging status, date and time, and call duration per call.
This phone supports dual mode dialling, where you can switch from internet (VoIP) to fixed-line in a key stroke. You can redial up to 20 different numbers and it can be done in handset. The phone directory can support 250 vCard entries. Other dialling functions include Pre-dialling with correction possibility, automatic redialling, call list with timestamp and pre-selection of Netprovider. Gigaset QuickSync software is provided in it for synchronization with PC. In addition, it allows you Bluetooth communication through headset.
This phone allows SMS supporting up to 640 characters per message and it is provider dependant. It holds 1 common and 3 personalised SMS inboxes. A separate directory is also available for storing email-addresses which is customer/country specific and provider dependant. You can access POP3 accounts directly without PC and when new emails are received they are signalled by illuminated MWI-key. In addition you can integrate the messages by Jabber Server.
The phone supports up to 6 line configuration of SIP protocol. It allows easy selection of provider profiles via handset or Web Server. You can assign accounts individually to handsets. When multiple handsets are connected it allows simultaneous calls. They take the form 2 VoIP and 1 PSTN Call or VoIP resp. PSTN 3 party conference or Two 3-party-conferences simultaneously. In addition it allows transfer of external calls to another handset and phonebook transfer between handsets.
Considering the answering machine, it supports up to 30 minutes recording with 1 Individual announcement and 1 advisory announcement. It supports live recording, protection of recordings against power failure, time control of answering machine and announcements via handset. You can adjust the call acceptance in different delay modes.
