Aastra 55i VoIP Phone has all the features and flexibilities of a standard business IP phone. This phone has a 144 x 75 pixels graphical LCD display. It offers advanced XML capability to access custom applications.
The display is with soft white light for giving users comfort in low light conditions. It also has LED for call and message waiting indicators. This VoIP phone supports up to 9 calls simultaneously. The phone has a personal directory which has a capacity to hold 200 entries. It has call forwarding, call transferring and call waiting features as well. The caller log has a capacity of 200 entries. It also supports local 3-way conference calling.
This Aastra VoIP phone has an intercom facility with auto-answering feature. Last called 100 numbers can be redialled. It has a ‘Do not Disturb’ feature too. The phone has a live dial pad or pre-dial support. The Digiums Asterisk Business Edition of the phone supports Busy Lamp Field (BLF), Bridged Line Appearances (BLA) and Intercom. It has 4 call appearance lines with LEDs, 4 navigational keys, 6 customizable softkeys which is programmable up to 20 functions and 6 programmable keys with LEDs. It has 8 pre defined hard keys; goodbye, options, hold, redial, speakerphone and mute. Two volume keys are also provided in this device.
Aastra 55i VoIP Phone has dual 10/100 Mbps switched Ethernet ports, manual or dynamic DHCP IP address setup, time and date synchronization using SNTP and QoS support. It has integrated HTTP/HTTPS server for web administration and maintenance. The phone has redundant server support, DNS-SRV and network address translation support. BroadSoft’s BroadWorks enhanced SIP, Nortel’s MCS 5100/5200 SIP and Sylantro’s SIP are the additional features which supports shared call, appearances, busy lamp field, commPilot call manager, conferencing, voice mail etc.
