3Com NBX 1102PE VoIP Phone that comes in Charcoal grey colour is compatible with 3Com NBX 100 and 3Com NBX 25 platforms. It has two line LCD display. Caller ID support is another feature. Further, it supports voice mail compatibility, call transfer and call forwarding. This system uses base mode dialling with its 16 characters keypad.
The system is capable of conference calling. If offers one-button instant access for voice messaging service and one-button call coverage forward for voice mailing. Further, it has volume control buttons. There are 18 programmable buttons of which 12 are with LED. In addition, there are 3 soft-keys for accessing the internal directory, missed calls, answered calls, dialled calls, personal speed dials and system speed dials.
The main feature associated with this 3Com VoIP phone is its support for Power over Ethernet (PoE). It uses H.323 VoIP protocol. The unit is also compliant with IEEE 802.1p, Type of Service (ToS) and IEEE 802.3. There is an Ethernet 10Base-T network port for cable connection which supports speed of up to 10 Mbps. The power supply for the 3Com VoIP Phone is from Power over LAN. This phone is compatible with hearing aid and is featured with embedded DSP intelligence, programmable QoS and compression mechanisms for business-quality voice clarity. Moreover, this system can operate as a Layer 2 or Layer 3 device.
